  4.         How to update your Qmail DeLuxe² reader to release 1.12
  5.         ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  7.              *** YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE UPDATE DIRECTIONS ***
  8.  
  9.         Note:   If you are new to The Qmail DeLuxe² system you
  10.                 need to download the file D2-112.ZIP from your
  11.                 bulletin board system.  This archive only contains
  12.                 files that have been updated in the 1.12 release
  13.                 for our current customers.   D2-112.ZIP contains
  14.                 the ENTIRE DeLuxe² system.
  15.  
  16.         Follow these step-by-step procedures so you can update
  17.         your current DeLuxe² reader to release 1.12.  In this
  18.         example we will assume that the new files are located
  19.         inside the subdirectory C:\NEW and your current Qmail
  20.         DeLuxe² files are located inside C:\DELUXE2.
  21.  
  22.         1. Copy all of the files inside C:\NEW into C:\DELUXE2.
  23.            You can use the DOS command:
  24.  
  25.                 C>COPY C:\NEW\*.* C:\DELUXE2
  26.  
  27.         2. Change directories into your C:\DELUXE2 subdirectory.
  28.            You can use the DOS command:
  29.  
  30.                 C>CHDIR C:\DELUXE2
  31.  
  32.         3. You will need to update the DLXTEXT file with the new
  33.            prompts required by release 1.12.  Type the command:
  34.  
  35.                 C>DLXTEXT DLXTEXT NEWTEXT
  36.  
  37.         4. Now, go ahead and start up your DELUXE2 reader.  Type:
  38.  
  39.                 C>DELUXE2
  40.  
  41.         5. Select "Configure Qmail DeLuxe²" from the main menu.
  42.  
  43.         6. Select "Colors" from the configuration menu.
  44.  
  45.         7. You will need to define a color for the "Zippy Highlights"
  46.            located at the bottom of the menu.  This color is used by the
  47.            reader to highlight keywords found inside messages.
  48.  
  49.         8. Press the [ESC] key when done.
  50.  
  51.         9. Press the [ESC] key again when you are at the configuration
  52.            menu.

  54.        10. Select "Yes, save these changes" from the menu.
  55.  
  56.        11. That's it!  You're up and ready to use Qmail DeLuxe² 1.12!
